You must be employed at a Victoria-area hotel, bed & breakfast, or tourism info centre, and must hold a front-line position. Front-line is defined as concierge, front desk, bell, valet, sales, or management who regularly work the front desk as a duty manager.

You must hold an influential position in that you have a direct impact on the guest experience at your establishment.

New members must attend one meeting before attending any social gatherings and Fams (familiarization experiences with local restaurants and attractions).

Members are expected to attend at least four monthly meetings each year to qualify for continued membership.

Members are expected to act as ambassadors of the VGSN, as well as of their respective employers.

Members are expected to volunteer and assist with various VGSN events, our annual Showcase, and special projects and initiatives.
 

Dress code for all VGSN events is business casual. We respectfully ask that dress behavior is business appropriate. Some of our business partners and supporters have been very very generous and on occasion, member behavior has taken needless advantage of this generosity.  We feel it is important to mention this now, as an example of inappropriate behavior that reflects on VGSN and the property you are representing.
 

Once your application has been completed and your fee has been paid, you will be officially notified of your acceptance into VGSN by one of our executive board members.
